ROOM TOUR: a petrol blue and black vintage style bedroom.

hi peeps! today i want to show you the next part of my room tour: i proudly present you my black and blue bedroom! ... this is somewhat my favourite room because the room concept is absolutely appropriate. all the different pieces and colours match together. i guess i also like it a bit more than my living room, although it is pink XD

what do you think of it?

the black wardrobe was located in the bedroom of my mother in our previous apartment. because she moved into a shared flat with her new husband, she left it to me. unfortunately it's a bit small for all of my clothes, thus i think that i will be in need of a bigger one soon.

the judy next to my window was bought some years ago. i used it for outfit photos for kleiderkreisel.de - now it's decorated with my new nude coloured maxi dress from H&M which i have shown to you earlier and a beautiful authentic vintage velvet blazer from my mum.

behind it i have hung up some old hangers which are heirlooms from my grandmother and a huge and an old korean fan.
at the right you can see my clothing rail where i hang up clothes i want to wear on one of the following days.

the mural painting was wholly designed by me. i painted it freehand. first i started with a pencil sketch and then painted it with black emulsion paint. in addition with the petrole blue wall paint underneath it the colour looks blackish-brown. i've not yet finished it but i still like the looks ... it's a wonderful feeling to wake up underneath your own tree and it already gifted me with loads of wonderful dreams. i also thought about drawing little green leaves onto it once it is finished - but i don't know yet. what do you think?

the vase on the window cill was a gift from the aunt and uncle from one of my beloved pupils. i have filled it with a bouquet of artificial, yet very natural-looking peonies (you might already have seen another bouquet in my livingroom(-tour)).

on the right you can see a korean vase made of chinese lacquered wood, seashells and gemstones.
on the left you can see a small gemstone tree which was a gift from a friend and my old cuddly rhino which i have found while cleaning up the old flat and its cellar.

i have bought the black chandelier together with the white one now hanging in my living room.

the dressing table is an old heirloom from my great-grandmother. i love the shiny look of the wood. it's a great for my workpieces and material i need for my onlineshop and for my office equipment, as well as accessoires and some cosmetics. on the table you can find old wooden frames filled with beautiful memories, different tea cups (i love vintage tea cups and collect them), decorative porcelain and crystal figures (bought myself or gifts from friends and family as well as heirlooms), two jewellery stands, bobbin lace with loads of perfume bottles on top and different jewellery boxes.

the mirror was tryptic but the right one got broken at an earlier house moving. but it's still beautiful.
above the dressing table i have hung up an old black picture frame decorated with curved ornaments.

at the right i have hung up five small and varnished picture frames with old shooting pics.

right next to the door there is my spiritual corner with two pictures of jesus, an oil painting from my mum showing a religious woman in a traditional korean hanbok and the old wooden cross which is also a heirloom from my grandmother and which i have varnished white.

the tall locker is a great storage for all of my file-folders. it is more than 20 years old and already experienced 4 house movings.

my bed is quite old. it is more than 13 years old and i already slept in it when i still was a teen. i still fit inside - that's why i often describe myself as space-saving ... XD

the floppy hats you can see on the right are all from my mum and authentic vintage.
the floral bedclothes were newly bought during my housemoving. i love it. it's very comfy and i love the vintage touch it adds to the room.
on top of the bedclothes there lies my cute cappyrinha, my cuddly toy dolphin from steiff. i have bought it from one of my very first wages. i always wanted to own a steiff dolphin and thus i made my dream come true - isn't he cute?

the nightstand was newly bought from the IKEA furnishing store in mannheim and i have built it up all by myself - you cannot believe how proud i was when i finally succeeded. after 3 failures ... and 3 hours! XD

on top of it i have but a shabby chic clock which i have bought on ebay.de, a tissue box, another vintage tea cup (which was a find at the flea market) and a tea-light holder.

I am looking forward to moving in less then a year ... I am going to be selective and find a place I love so I too will want to actually unpack and decorate :)
