LOOKBOOK: Aurélie Dumont de l'Académie de Magie Beauxbâtons (Gewinnspiel/Giveaway).

Die Welt rund um Harry Potter hat mich seit meiner Kindheit begleitet. Mit 10 Jahren habe ich angefangen, die Bücher zu lesen. Der Sohn der besten Freundin meiner Mutter hat sie mir empfohlen, und so fing ich an zu lesen ... und verliebte mich in diese Welt, die Charaktere und den Schreibstil von Joanne K. Rowling, die eine wunderbare, magische Welt erschaffen hatte, von welcher nicht nur ich gerne ein Teil gewesen wäre. Ich liebte sie. Als ich bei Harry Potter und der Feuerkelch angekommen war, kamen die Filme raus. Auch diese liebte ich und Hermione Granger, Ronald Weasley und Harry Potter hätten nicht besser besetzt werden können.

Dieser wunderbare magische Kosmos mit seinen Charakteren, seinen Abenteuern und seinen Möglichkeiten begleitet mich bis zum heutigen Tage. Die Filme sehe ich mir in regelmäßigen Abständen erneut an und im letzten Jahr habe ich alle Bücher nochmals auf Englisch gelesen und mich neu verliebt.

Erinnert ihr euch noch an die Website Pottermore.com, auf welcher man die Bücher als Online Webgame durchspielen konnte? Man konnte sich seinen eigenen Charakter erstellen und wurde am Anfang vom Sprechenden Hut in eines der Häuser eingeteilt, nachdem man einen Persönlichkeitstest gemacht hatte. Als mein Ergebnis kam, traf mich der Schlag. Niemals hätte ich damit gerechnet ...

 

Ich kam in das Haus Slytherin! Das konnte ich nicht auf mir sitzen lassen und ich gestehe, dass ich den Test noch ein zweites Mal machte, und auch ein drittes und ein viertes Mal. Aber immer kam das dasselbe Ergebnis raus.

Ich ergab mich also meinem Schicksal, aber mit der Zeit war ich stolz darauf, schließlich sind nicht alle direkt Todesser. Ein Slytherin hat einen starken Charakter und ist ehrgeizig und gibt so schnell nicht auf. Das sind doch super Eigenschaften, oder?
Wenn mag es verwundern, dass ich mir irgendwann auch die Schuluniform in silber und grün zugelegt habe - samt passendem Zauberstab, und in voller Montur mit meinem damaligen Freund nach Köln fuhr, um die Harry Potter Exhibition zu besuchen.

Aber wenn ich ehrlich bin, gab es da eine Schuluniform, die mir wesentlich besser gefiel als die der Hogwarts Schüler, obwohl diese ja auch hübsch und adrett ist. Sicherlich könnt ihr euch denken, welche ... :)

Neben gutem Essen liebe ich auch Getränke, die mit Hingabe komponiert wurden und in denen man die Leidenschaft fürs Handwerk erkennt. Ein guter Wein gehört genauso korrespondierend zu einem perfekten Dîner wie der Champagner dazu, das Leben zu zelebrieren und wie guter, hausgemachter Kaffee zu edlem, französischen Gebäck - oder auch einem einfachen, aber doch perfekten Schokoladen Guglhupf.

Da fühle ich mich erinnert an müßige Samstage mit meiner Mama. Wir hatten die Tradition, die Nachmittage bei gutem Wetter entweder im Park zu verbringen - sie lesend, ich meine Hausaufgaben machend, oder bei tristem, grauen Wetter zuhause zu bleiben und einen Arthouse Film einzulegen. Ich bereitete amerikanische Cookies vor und sie braute einen Kaffee - nicht mit der Filterkaffeemaschine, sondern mit dem Porzellanfilter, mit ganz heißem Wasser.

SHOOTING & GIVEAWAY: let's celebrate STRANGENESS AND CHARMS' 5th blog anniversary!

[en] hi peeps! today is a very special day for me. it marks the 5th anniversary of strangeness and charms and that definitely calls for a celebration!

strangeness and charms was initiated on the 4th of march 2012 with the thought to let the world have an insight into my views of all the things having a core importance in my life: fashion as an artform, culture and capturing beauty in a photographic way.

i will never regret the decision to initiate strangeness and charms, because it had a great impact on me (and my not so confident self), because it has become a very great part of my daily life and because it gave me the possibility to inspire people and to get inspired in return, to work with amazing brands and designers, to meet many amazing people and to build up friendships with people i might not have met otherwise (love you, chrissi, daij, héloise, _lilyce, olesya, ann-cathérine & so many others ♡♡♡).

i want to thank you, my dear readers, for your loyality and your support through the years. you have helped me to make strangeness and charms what it is today - an amazing community of people who all share the same passion: the love for beauty in all its various forms.

today i want to share a special outfit with you which we have shot in the venerable ruins of the old castle in baden-baden. it was one of the first warm days of this still quite new year and i was wearing my new pink midi dress from & other stories and my favourite short velvet blazer from H&M trend - both bought on the second hand shopping platform kleiderkreisel.de - and of course my favourite vintage pearl earrings from CHANEL. two chanel presents will also await you in my special 5th anniversary giveaway that i have prepared for you. 
my outfit was accompanied by 15 round golden balloons and one big one in the shape of the number five. 
it was such a fun shot and i hope that you enjoy the photos!
