SHOOTING: les nymphéas.

[en] the musée de l'orangerie is a magical place located in the beautiful parisian jardin des tuileries and houses some of the most incredible impressionist artworks, not forgetting the enchanting nymphéas by claude monet in two oval-shaped exhibition rooms.

todays shooting photos were taken within one of these showrooms. i really love the works of claude monet and his nymphéas, or water lilies, range among my most beloved impressionist artworks. luckily i have worn a matching dress this day - sometimes whilst looking at the outcome i cannot mark the beginning of my dress or the painting in the background ... i like that thought because it also reflects my understanding about fashion as an artform - thus i believe that my outfit choice must have been planned by my subconscious.

have you ever been to the musée de l'orangerie?

ART: art calendar 2014, featuring my mum.

this year my mum had her second art exhibition at gallery schramm in bad salzhausen. this november the korean TV station YTN reported on this gallery, which mostly shows works by korean artists living in germany, korea and abroad. this year gallery schramm published their first art calendar, which also features one work of my mum. her work is called 'prayer' and represents november 2014. i think the calendar looks very professional and i'm so proud of my mum!

what do you think of the calendar?

impressions of the vernissage in bad salzhausen, 20st of april.

the vernissage of my mum on the 20st of april was a huge success! the gallery was so overcrowded that you had some issues to get from room to room or let alone to the buffet XD the gallery has two rooms and a corridor.

since it was a group display with my mum and horst kissel, his paintings were shown in the right room and those from my mum in the left one. there was a lot of sparkling wine, many people interested in the fine arts and loads of korean and intercontinental finger food. and music, of course! me and some musicians from the korean church in mannheim took care of the background music.

here are the promised impressions - unfortunately i do not know if there were any videos made. and i looked a bit destroyed while i played the piano - i cannot show the photos to you XD but i made some exclusive videos from the songs i played there and i will put them online a.s.a.p. !

the photos shown here were shot by attendant photographs. some of them can also be found on the online-presence of gallery schramm in bad salzhausen.

impressions: vernissage of my mum, 11th of october 2012

HELL YEAH !!!

... what an amazing opening! the vernissage with paintings of my mum was on this thursday (11th of october 2012) and it was a real success. many many people came - friends and relatives and many people interested in the fine arts. we had a full house.

i already presented you my outfit for the vernissage. i gave it a slightly different touch - now without my hair pinned-up but loose (i liked it that day), and with my beret on - fits the bill for an art event, huh? ;) ... but the rest stayed quite the way i planned it. on top i wore a black a-line coat, i hope you can see it on this stylish window photography i took by myself.
... sorry, i needed to do this - this is a fashion blog, and i AM fashion XD

my mum looked really great, didn't she? :)

our reverend from the korean church in mannheim held a speech and also a good friend of my mum. i played the piano (among others my selfcomposed piano piece 'elegy no.1' and my interpretation of tori amos' wonderful song 'carry' which you can also find on youtube) and four of our churchmembers from the korean church choir sang a little repertoire. a tenor sang the famous aria 'your's is my heart alone' from franz lehárs operetta 'the land of smiles'.

editors of two big newspapers (rheinpfalz and kyopo shinmun) were present, wonderful photographers (itechkast and david stephen williams - thank you for all the wonderful photographies!)

the editor of the rheinpfalz wrote a wonderful news article which really touched my heart - actually she is really judicial, but my mum must have impressed her. this article is written with all her heart. i nearly cried when i read it. you can find it below.
