SHOPPING: Ein Traum vom Sommer. | Protest Beachwear Season SS20.
Was wirklich wichtig ist. Nicht Geld. Nicht materielle Besitztümer. Sondern Gesundheit.

SHOOTING: how to style your perfect horse racing look.
[en] The new horse racing season
in Baden-Baden/Iffezheim will start soon, beginning with the
Springtime
Meeting from the 30th Mai until the 3rd of
June 2018.
Dresscode or
not?
Despite the popular stereotype of women
with broad-brimmed hats and cocktail dresses there isn't a real
dresscode which enables you to visit a horse racing. 80% of the
visitors stick to their leisure-time style. You should feel
comfortable – that's the main thing.
Nevertheless it's fun to dress up in an
elegant cocktail dress or a nice suit. Ladies can of course complete
their elegant horse racing look with a complement hat. Especially
when it comes to highly remunerated races (for example at the first
Grand Prix race taking place on the 2nd of September 2018
or at the Great Week taking place from the 25th of August
until the 2nd of September 2018).
Generally speaking we can conclude that
no other social event (associated with sports) has a greater focus on
fashion – especially in terms of elegant ladies robed in cocktail
dresses and their amazing aigrettes.
Especially if you think of the LONGINES
PRIZE FOR ELEGANCE taking place on the 2nd of September
2018 where the most elegant female visitor of the final racing day is
receiving a prize.

160 years of horse racing in
Baden-Baden/Iffezheim.
2018 marks a special year in terms of
horse racing in Iffezheim and Baden-Baden. Its racecourse is going to
turn 160 this year!
What better reason could there be to
dress up? So get out your most beautiful dresses and matching hat and
come to Baden-Baden to celebrate this special occasion. There's no
limit in getting creative with your headgear – no matter if it's
small and elegant or big and splendorous: anything goes!

OUTFIT: 6 tips on how to look expensive on a budget | trenchcoat, checkered scarf & LBD | shop my look for under 100€!
[en] My mum introduced me to the world of fashion very early. She had somewhat been my first fashion icon – a long time before Coco Chanel stepped into my life!
She always had a very elegant
appearance and looked classy all the time – even though she hadn't
worn just a few designer pieces. She also had loads of pieces in her
wardrobe which had bought 10 – 20 years before, and she styled them
with newly bought pieces or flea market finds. And by doing so, she
created a unique, classy, luxurious yet affordable look.
Of course everybody wants to know how
to look expensive yet don't wear down their wallets. Today I want to give
you some hints on how to achieve that.

STATEMENT: be my valentine - or not?
[en] It's Valentines Day! To mark the occasion i want to share some romantic outfit recommendations for you. Me, i guess that i'll be wearing my red Dolce & Gabbana lace dress which i have shown you in my outfit post 'i dreamt i dwelt in marble halls' which i have posted in 2015. This beauty is worn way insufficiently and i believe that it goes nicely with this festive occasion.
But of course i know that the opinions regarding this day are somewhat ... divided. Personally I believe that a day devoted to the most wonderful thing on earth is beautiful. Why not celebrate this day with the one you love the most?
Commercializing and fake emotions.
It's different if you only celebrate Valentine's Day as an excuse because you don't really care for each other anymore and only because afterwards it's done. because it's a must go, because you're still a couple ... Or call yourself that way. It's also not right if it's only used commercially. Like: oh hey, it's Valentines Day, thus i'm going to spend heaps of money because that's what it's all about. Like, come on. Superficiality is fake and there definitely is no need to celebrate that.
You don't have to make your better half expensive gifts to reassure his or her feelings for you - if you think that you have to, then something is truly wrong. The most precious gift you can give is your heart.
So what do you think about Valentines Day? What will you do today, will you celebrate it with your better half, will you celebrate a 'Galentines Day' instead or do you care for this occasion at all?

SHOPPING: winter trend 17|18 - the most beautiful berets of the season.
[en] Advertisement - hi peeps! you might already
have stumbled upon this winter trend on manifold blogs and lookbooks. i can definitely regard
the french beret as my favourite trend this winter season 17|18 (and the colour red, of course!). in
french language it is known as the béret basque and for me it is one
of the key pieces composing the french style. if you already read my
'about me' and previous posts on Strangeness and Charms you could
imagine that i'm a sucker for french lifestyle, food and of course
fashion. i love everything regarding the savoir vivre of the french,
they simply know how to live the good life and of course i'm very
much in love the the style of the parisian ladies.
i purchased my first béret basque in
2000, when the expo world exhibition took place in hannover, germany. needless to say it was bought at the gift store of the french
pavillon. it was navy blue made of the most tender cashmere fabric
and of course worn at any occasion imaginable – c'était vraiment
un coup de foudre!
in todays post i want to show you my personal selection of this headdress à la française. and just in time before starting to celebrate new years eve at the casino in baden-baden i will show you my outfit for this special occasion (maybe you have already have seen some details of itin my insta feed) – stay tuned!
what do you think of the beret trend and do you own one (or more) yourself?
do you find some favourites in todays post?

[en] ADVERTISEMENT - hi peeps! you might already have noticed that i'm a fan of the online store zaful. i have already published several posts featuring products which i have bought there. for example you might remember my post about my blue velvet maxi dress which i combined with my monochrome graphic print blazer, high heels and my patent leather bag from calvin klein. the dress was from zaful, as well as my red cat eye sunnies, my beloved golden khaleesi bracelet and my golden armcuff which was featured in several outfit and shooting posts.
today i want to show you my recent
picks from the online shop.
there's
always such a vast quantity of amazing pieces online so that it's
quite hard for me not to buy too many things! thus today I want to
help you guys to decide on what to buy in the shop.
i really love the nude sweater with flower applications, the black
sweater with the pearl applications and the striped wrap blouse. i thought about combining the latter with one of the stripey pants i
also linked in todays post – what do you think?
and
this gold-coloured biker jacket is ah-ma-zing, isn't it? such a
statement piece! but i'm also very much in love with the patent
leather shoes with wing applications, the embroidered black velvet
mules and the fake fur ones – not to mention all the beautiful
dress and bag creations and all this statement jewellery. well i can

decorated boutique at the beginning of the city which neighbours on
the souvenir market and which would rejoice any boho and hippie
heart.
the shop is called
lo scrigno pisa
and it resembles a long hallway, overflowing with colourful creations
with paisley prints and gemstones – the perfect place to find your
perfect festival outfit. If i visited a festival i'd definitely wear
the tunic i bought there – a light and beautiful piece definitely
not sparing with an abundance of all the colours of the rainbow …
you could say that it was love at first sight!
lo scrigno pisa also offers a nice selection of accessoires,

an instagram page but
there's a facebook fanpage you can visit.

you stop by and maybe shop your next festival outfit?

FASHION: #trendingnow pantone colours of the year 16: rose quartz & serenity.
[en] the pantone color institute publishes the colours of the year annually. last year, pantone chose, for the very first time ever, an amalgamation of two colours: rose quartz and serenity. rose quartz is a soft pastel pink shade, while serenity is a soft light blue colour. both colours are mellow and beautiful both worn together or separately. the shades remind me of the last warm evening hours of spring and summer when the sun goes down and paints the sky in soft and soothing pastel shades. pantone says: 'joined together rose quartz and serenity demonstrate an inherent balance between a warmer embracing rose tone and the cooler tranquil blue, reflecting connection and wellness as well as a soothing sense of order and peace.' - i can definitely agree with this!
i have already seen many pretty outfit inspirations on other blogs and today i want to show you some inspirations on how to wear the colours of the year yourself! the serenity blue and white striped off-shoulder blouse from romwe will soon be my own too and i can't wait
how do you like the colours of the year?
